We ask for one thing: your email address. This page explains what we do with it, and what we do not.

In short

  • We store your email address and nothing else about you.
  • We use it to tell you when Collection 01 arrives.
  • We never sell it, rent it or pass it to anyone else.
  • One click unsubscribes you, and then we delete you.

ALMARA is the controller of your personal data. That means we decide what happens with it, and you can hold us to it.

What we collect

Your email address, because you typed it in. That is the only thing we ask for.

Our email service also records the date, time and IP address of your signup and of your confirmation click. We do not use that to track you. It exists so we can prove you gave permission, which the law requires us to be able to do.

Once we start sending, the service records whether an email was opened and whether a link was clicked. We use that only to see whether what we write is worth reading.

Why we have it

To tell you when Collection 01 arrives, and to share how it is being made along the way. No more than one email a month. Nothing else.

On what basis

Your permission, and nothing else. You gave it twice: once by typing your address, and once by clicking the link in the confirmation email. You can withdraw it at any moment, and withdrawing is as easy as giving it was.

Who else sees it

We send our emails through MailerLite. They process your address on our instructions and may not use it for anything of their own. Their servers are in Germany and the Netherlands, so your data stays inside the European Union.

Nobody else. We do not sell, rent or share addresses, and we do not run advertising trackers on this site.

How long we keep it

Until you unsubscribe, or until you have not opened anything from us for twenty-four months. After that we delete your address. A list of people who no longer read us is no use to anyone.

Cookies

This site sets no tracking cookies and shows no cookie banner, because there is nothing to ask you about. Your browser remembers one thing locally: which language you chose. That never leaves your device and never reaches us.

What you can ask of us

  • See what we hold about you.
  • Have it corrected.
  • Have it deleted.
  • Receive it as a file you can take elsewhere.
  • Withdraw your permission, at any time.

Write to contact@thisisalmara.com and we will sort it out within a month, usually much sooner.

If you think we handle your data badly, you can complain to the Dutch data protection authority, the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens. We would rather you told us first, so we can put it right.

Changes

If this page changes, the date at the top changes with it. If something changes that affects you materially, we will email you about it rather than hope you notice.
